Whispers (hereinafter "We", "Our" or "Whispers") applies a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of child sexual abuse or exploitation (Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation, "CSAE"), including any child sexual abuse material (Child Sexual Abuse Material, "CSAM"). This page publicly describes our standards, our practices and our points of contact regarding the prevention, detection and reporting of CSAE, in accordance with the requirements of application distribution platforms.

1. Minimum age and access by minors

The Whispers Application is strictly reserved for persons aged eighteen (18) years or older. Creating an account requires confirmation of the user's date of birth, and any account identified as belonging to a minor is immediately suspended and then deleted.

Any person who becomes aware of or suspects that a minor is using the Application is invited to report it to us without delay through the means described in Article 4 below.

2. Zero-tolerance policy

Whispers strictly prohibits, across all of its features (profiles, photographs, messages), any content or behavior involving:

The solicitation, production, distribution or possession of content depicting the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor;
Sextortion, grooming (building trust for the purposes of abuse) or any other attempt to approach a minor for sexual purposes;
The promotion, trivialization or facilitation, in any form whatsoever, of the sexual exploitation of children.

Any account associated with one of these behaviors is permanently suspended, without prior notice, as soon as it is detected.

3. Prevention, moderation and detection

We implement reasonable measures, both technical and human, to prevent and detect CSAE on the Application, in particular:

Automated content moderation and filtering tools (profile photographs and messages) making it possible to detect manifestly inappropriate content;
A blocking and reporting feature accessible directly from a user's profile or conversation;
A human review of the reports received, with immediate suspension of the accounts concerned where a risk to child safety is confirmed;
Verification of the age declared when the account is created.

4. Reporting a child safety concern

Whispers allows any user to report, directly from the Application, a profile, a photograph or a message giving cause for concern, including any content or behavior falling within CSAE. To report content:

Open the profile or conversation concerned in the Application;
Select the "Report" option (or "Block & report");
State the reason for the report.

Reports may also be sent directly to our dedicated point of contact, at the following address: whispersapp@outlook.com. This point of contact is empowered to discuss our CSAM prevention and compliance practices and to handle any report relating to child safety.

5. Cooperation with the competent authorities

Whispers cooperates with law enforcement as well as with the national and regional authorities competent in matters of child protection. Where applicable law so requires, any content or behavior confirmed as falling within CSAE is reported to the competent authorities, including, where appropriate, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the French reporting platform PHAROS (internet-signalement.gouv.fr), as well as to any competent foreign authority in the territories where the Application is distributed.

6. Updates to these standards

We may need to update these child safety standards in order to reflect changes in our practices, in the applicable regulations or in the requirements of distribution platforms. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
